If you create custom tags in addition to the ones provided by the app, your custom tags will remain relevant and will not be removed during app updates. The app only synchronizes its own tags and does not interfere with other custom tags you create. So, you can confidently add your custom tags on top of the tags provided by the Turn 14 app without worrying about them being erased during app updates.
