When you open the "Content" tab, where all images are stored, you my see an error message stating that the image upload failed because the storage limit was reached. Here's the link to Shopify's information on the subject: Shopify Product Media Documentation.
It specifies the media storage limits for each Shopify plan. For example if a store is on the Basic Shopify plan, it has a 100GB storage limit.
The limit depends on the Shopify plan that the store is on:
- Basic Shopify: 100GB
- Shopify: 300GB
- Advanced Shopify: 300GB
- Shopify Plus: 300GB, contact Plus Support if you need more storage.
