In order to let customer checkout you must first have your Shipping zones set up in your Shopify settings. Basically all you are doing is telling Shopify where you will and wont ship to. Do you want to only ship to the USA and Canada, or will you ship all over the world? Maybe you only want to ship to Australia? Please keep in mind that each shipping zone and settings will be unique to each store. This is a general guide on how to set up the Shopify settings, but you will need to make adjustments depending on your needs, location, and shipping rates.
1. Click "Settings"
2. Click "Shipping and delivery"
3. Click "General Shipping Rates"
4. Scroll down until you see an option to "add rates" for the Slingshot locations applicable and click add new new rates
5. Click "Create new rate"
6. Name your Shipping Zone
7. Then add the states or countries you want to ship to
8. Now you can add your own shipping rates, and then click "Done"
