Adding an Inventory Location to Manually Fill Orders

Shopify takes away the option to fill orders manually if it detects the option for automated orders. Even if you aren't using the automation! It's frustrating and we have asked them to change this, but we don't know if they ever will. 

If you need to place orders manually without using the Turn 14 Distribution apps order and tracking automation, or if you need to manually update tracking information for certain reasons we now have the option to add an Inventory location specifically for this. We add a local inventory location to each app based sku, and set it to 0 stock. This will then allow you to change the inventory location on an order and fill it manually.

You can choose to use your existing inventory location, or create one specifically for this use like "Turn14 backup". If it doesn't exist yet, please go into your Shopify settings under Locations and create it.

Then in the Turn 14 app under the orders tab you can turn on the option "Add a Manual Fulfillment Location" and select the location you want to use from the drop down menu.
