Let's say you have a customer in California checking out with three items, one of which is CARB restricted and can't ship to California. What happens?
If you use the live shipping rates, the customer can't check out the 3 items because Turn 14 will give us an error instead of the rate, unless you set up a custom rate as an alternative in case Turn 14 will not generate a shipping rate.
Let say you either don't use the live shipping rates or you have set up a custom rate, then the order will be placed successfully during checkout.
The next part will be during the order synchronization, when 1 of the items is problematic, the whole order will be rejected. You will see the order error in the timeline.
At this point, you would then have to tell the customer that the 1 item must be removed. After removal, you can request the fulfillment with the 2 non problematic items.
The live shipping rates are included with the order and tracking automation, we do have to set them up after you go complete a test order and go live, and you must have the Shopify plan or add on that allows "third party carrier rates".
